MoveRed.org Releases Web Video: “1969: The Age of Gregoirius”
(Bellevue, WA) Today, MoveRed.org launched a web video entitled “1969: The Age of Gregoirius,” showing cultural milestones from 1969 that also mark the beginning of Christine Gregoire’s increasingly stale, 39-year career in state government. The video highlights the choice that Washington voters will face this November between Gregoire and GOP up-and-comer Dino Rossi in the race for governor.
“A lot has changed in our country in the past 39 years. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same thing about our state government,” said Peter Cowman, Director of MoveRed.org. “Christine Gregoire first started in state government before most of us were even born. What we have in Olympia is the same bureaucratic crowd, pulling the same foolish mistakes that protect their own careers in government and leave taxpayers up the creek.”
Cowman continued, “On the national level, the buzz word is ‘Change’. Here in Washington State, we’re talking about a necessary change from a party that has held the governor’s mansion for twenty-four years, and a current governor who’s been working in state government since 1969. Thirty nine years after Gregoire started off in Washington’s overbearing bureaucracy, young voters will have a real opportunity to vote for change and elect Dino Rossi as governor in 2008.”
MoveRed.org is harnessing the energy of young voters to bring new leadership and a better direction to Olympia this year. Members will continue to doorbell King County, make phone calls, hold rallies and put on events throughout the Election Year to support Dino Rossi and the rest of Washington State’s great Republican candidates.
